BUHARI'S RE-ELECTION WILL FURTHER DIVIDE IMPOVERISH NIGERIANS

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday said
President Muhammadu Buhari’s quest for re-election will
further divide and impoverish Nigerians if elected.
It also added that Buhari’s first term scorecard showed anti-
people policies and failure to serve the good of the ordinary
citizens.

The opposition party said what Buhari would want Nigerians
to believe when he spoke at the All Progressives Congress
(APC) ward congress in Daura, Katsina State on Saturday
was in sharp contrast to what he stands for.
The party spokesman, Kola Ologbodinyan made this
disclosure in a press statement made available in Abuja.
In his words, “It is unfortunate that the same President, who,
in an interview with Voice of America (VOA) last week,
could not present any agenda to justify his re-election bid, is
attempting to sway Nigerians with cosmetic patriotism.
“What President Buhari’s handlers fail to understand is that
Nigerians, being direct victims of his misrule, are aware that
the harsh and reckless policies of his incompetent
administration, coupled with his body language, are
expressly responsible for the untold economic hardship,
ethnic division and daily bloodletting currently ravaging our
nation.

“If, indeed, the President was out to serve, as he claimed at
the APC congress, we challenge him to show any of his
2015 campaign promises he has fulfilled or any development
project initiated and implemented to the benefit of the
people in the last three years.
“President Buhari’s second term agenda is directly a quest
to continue to enrich the Presidency cabal, promote
nepotism and protect cronies and corrupt members of the
All Progressives Congress (APC) from the long arms of the
law”.

Ologbodinyan added “President Buhari’s second term is also
a quest to continue to ignore and destroy democratic
principles; to continue trampling on the rights of citizens
and persecution of opposition and perceived political
opponents; to continue the derailing of democracy with
manifest disdain for constitutional order; to continue with
the intimidation and harassment of the legislature and the
judiciary; perpetuation of mediocrity in governance; de-
marketing Nigeria at international fora and to blame
everyone else but himself for manifest incapacity to govern.”
The PDP stated that re-election of the president would surely
lead to the complete destruction of our economy, our
democracy and most importantly the unity of our nation.
It also described the bid for the re-election of the president
as the agenda of his cabal who were desperate to protect
huge economic empires and to cover their atrocities in
government.

: A gubernatorial aspirant of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Adamawa State, Mr Abel Behora, has been arrested by the police.
Adamawa State Command spokesman, Othman Abubakar (SP), confirmed the development to NAN.
He said Behora was arrested and detained for alleged defamation, inciting the public against constituted authority, and giving false information against the Police.
The suspect is alleged to have gone to a local radio station to accuse the state police command of taking bribe in the on-going crisis rocking the state chapter of his party.

NIGERIAN HERDSMEN DON'T CARRY GUN - BUHARI TELL TRUMP

President Muhammadu Buhari » has reiterated that
herdsmen in Nigeria only carry sticks and
occasionally machetes to cut foliage for their cattle.
The President said this on Monday, April 30, 2018, in
Washington DC during the bilateral talk with U.S. President
Donald Trump .

He again blamed the ongoing killing in Nigeria on the late
Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi fighters, who he said fled to
West African countries after Gaddafi's death.
Buhari said, "The problem of herders in Nigeria is a very long
historical thing. The Nigerian herders don’t carry anything more
than a stick and occasionally a machete to cut down foliage
and give it to their animals, these ones are carrying AK-47.
"So, people should not underrate what happened in Libya. 43
years of Gaddafi, people were recruited from Sahel and trained
to shoot and kill. With the demise of Gaddafi they moved to
other countries and region and carried the experience with
them."

The President also thanked the United States for its support in
the fight against Boko Haram insurgency and its efforts in
trying to get rid of terrorism across the world.

"We are grateful to the United States for agreeing to give us the
aircraft that we asked for. We are even more grateful for the
physical presence of the United States military officials in
Nigeria. Our institutions in Nigeria, for training them and going
to the Northeast to see how they are performing", Buhari said.
"The commitment of the United States to get rid of terrorism
across the world, we have fast earned experience from that and
we are grateful for it."
President Buhari was said to have arrived the White House at
around 12 noon on Monday. He was accompanied by Nigeria's
Ambassador to the U.S. Sylvanus Nsofor , Ministers of Foreign
Affairs, Justice, and Trade and Investment, and Governors of
Plateau and Ogun.

Others on the delegation were Chief of Defence Staff, Maj.-
Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin , Senate Committee Chair on Foreign
Affairs, Monsurat Sunmonu and her House of Representatives
counterpart, Nnenna Ukejie .

her husband for his United States outing, where he
was hosted by President Donald Trump » .
President Buhari on Monday, April 30, had a meeting with
Trump at the Oval Office in the White House. Thereafter, both

The US President commended Buhari for his efforts in cutting
down "very massive corruption" in Nigeria.
Buhari and Trump also discussed the ongoing killings in the
country, which the US President said is unacceptable.
Trump however promised that the US will continue to support
Nigeria in the fight against the Boko Haram insurgency.

2019: BUHARI REVEALS HOW HE WILL DESTROY CABAL IF HE WINS ELECTION

Ahmed Buhari, the initiator of Ahmed Buhari Youth
Movement, has said that he will kill ‘cabalism’ if he wins the
2019 presidential elections.

Buhari, who was speaking with journalists on Sunday in
Ilorin, also explained that his interest in vying for the office
of the president of Nigeria was informed by the need to
have a generational change in the leadership of the country.
The geologist by training, noted that the youth had lost hope
in the current system of governance which had created a
wide gulf between the young and old generation.
“Most importantly, our involvement is going to be an
enlightenment to young people that it is true that we can do
something.

“To let them know that the reason we are doing this is
because we understand that if we do not allow responsibility
to be transferred from one generation to next generation at
the right time, a vacuum will be created.
“If this vacuum is created, a lot can go into that vacuum. It
could be herdsmen; it could be Boko Haram; it could be
kidnapping; it could be baby factory; it could be armed
robbery, it could be a lot of things.

“It is because these young people do not feel any need for
them to be looking up for something that hope is lost and
so we are trying to revamp young people to understand that
they have to participate in politics.
“While they participate in politics, they shouldn’t make
money politics a front burner for them. They should be more
concerned about how they will even support aspirants so
that when they get to the office, those aspirants will be
answerable to them.

“This will kill totally the whole idea of cabalism and see how
we can have aspirants who will emerge and become
answerable to those people who elected them because if
you do support an aspirant, he is going to come back to you
and support you, not by giving you the money you gave him,
but by giving you the best of democracy.
“What we mean is that we want to have a country that would
be formed on a united ground.
“United ground in the sense that no matter where you come
from, regardless of your ethnicity; regardless of your religion;
regardless of your social status; regardless of your political
party; ideological affiliations; regardless of gender;
regardless of your age; you will want to be part of a new
Nigeria.
“The new Nigeria that we are looking for is new Nigeria that
every one of us would claim without mentioning where we
are from.
“We want a new Nigeria where there won’t be a discussion
on state of origin, quota system and all of those things that
always tend to divide us will be eradicated,” he said.

MUSLIM SOCIETY CONDEMN TRUMP STATEMENT AGAINST KILLING OF CHRISTIANS IN NIGERIA

The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) has faulted
statement credited to United States President Donald Trump
on the killing of Christians in Nigeria.
The Amir (President) of the MSSN in Lagos State, Dr Saheed
Ashafa in a press statement said Trump’s statement would
cause further division in Nigeria.
During Buhari’s visit to the Whiet House,Trump said
the“killing of Christians in Nigeria was unacceptable” to the
American government.

Reacting, Ashafa considered Trump’s comment as one-
sided and uncomplimentary, warning Buhari to be cautious
of relationship with the US.
The Muslim students’ leader alleged that Trump’s comment
signalled his hatred for Muslims and Islam in Nigeria.
He said, “Trump’s offer shows that he is myopic and
uncivilised. The pronouncement to help fight killings of
Christians in a nation where innocent souls are wasted
without recourse to their affiliations is a call to separatism.
“One would wonder if Trump is not aware or deliberately
ignored the murder of several Muslims in a mosque at the
University of Maiduguri, or those killed in mosques in Yobe
and Zamfara; and many other parts of the country.

“We should know that the offer is a reflection of Trump’s
hatred for Islam and Muslims. Such offer at this point in
time is divisive, ‘unafrican‘ and insincere.
“World leaders should ignore insinuations that Muslims are
not against terrorism, it would be more beneficial to tackle
insurgency with utmost neutrality.”
“Let me reiterate that as Muslims we condemn and reject all
forms of terrorism, insurgency and oppression in whatever
name being perpetrated.
“We should also remember that in Nigeria, most families are
composed of Christians and Muslims alike, just as we also
have other faithful.
“Trump’s call for separatism when the world is advocating
for collectivism is not a healthy offer.”

BOKO HARAM GROUP DEMANDS APOLOGY FROM UNICEF

A civil society organisation, Coalition Against Terrorism and
Extremism, CATE, has demanded explanation from the
United Nations International Children’s Fund (UNICEF) over
its actions towards the activities of the Boko Haram sect in
Nigeria.

The group is demanding the UNICEF to urgently apologise to
Nigeria following its various allegations against the Nigerian
military, which it said had been confirmed to be false and
targeted at escalating terror activities in the country.
UNICEF had alleged recently that the Nigerian military has
raped over 20 girls in IDP Camps in Borno State.
The development forced the Nigerian Army to declare three
persons working for the agency persona non-grata in the
North East, Nigeria.
The three persons were: Priscillia Hoveyda, Maher Farea and
Milen Kidane.
CATE, while briefing newsmen on Monday in Jos, the
Plateau State capital, called on the agency to come clean on
the alleged nature of support they have been offering Boko
Haram, which it said it had revealed countless times before
now but authorities failed to act.
Onoja Gabriel, national president of CATE, who addressed
the press, urged the Nigerian Government to set up
monitoring committee to keep an eye on what groups like
UNICEF are doing in the country
His statement reads in full.

“Our decision to hold this event was informed that several
days after these troubling reports first surfaced UNICEF has
not satisfactorily cleared itself of the grievous revelations
that it has joined the organizations that are working for the
destruction of Nigeria.
“As a refresher, we invite you to recall how our organization,
the Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism (CATE) had
risen up against groups that previously hid under the guise
of being International Non-Governmental Organizations
(NGOs) wreak havoc on our collective psyche and to
compromise our lives by overt and covert support for
terrorism. We alerted Nigerians in those dark days to how
certain organizations always timed their reports to coincide
with when the military was on the verge of dealing decisive
blows against Boko Haram Terrorists. Such reports
succeeded in several instances until Nigerians became wise
to this devilish antic.

“For the avoidance of doubts, the strategy was to
periodically release reports that threaten individual troop
and commander with the prospect of keeping a date with
the “International Criminal Court (ICC) for daring to fight for
the security of their country. At institutional level, the reports
destroy the reputation of the military services while on the
national level is damages the ability of Nigeria to partner
with allies thereby denying the entire country of the support
needed to defeat terrorism conclusively. In the time it takes
to repair the damage so done, Boko Haram terrorists would
have exploited the lag to regroup, re-arm and again become
deadly even when it had previously suffered defining
defeats.

“Nigerians, who realized the threat posed to their existence
and that of their dear fatherland, rose up to challenge this
international fraud. The Coalition Against Terrorism and
Extremism (CATE) was at the forefront of that struggle to
liberate Nigeria from the claws of these modern-day
imperialists hiding under NGOs. Let us quickly point out that
we were called names for standing up to the oppressors at
that time but we are encouraged by the renewed focus the
military had to fight terrorism once we successfully beat the
bullies out our land.
“Unfortunately, gentlemen of the press, the news we have
for you today is distressing because a new entity, UNICEF
has emerged as the latest replacement of all the evil
contraptions that were earlier deployed in the attempt to
incapacitate the Nigerian Military and strengthen terrorists.
The irony of this development is sickening considering the
noble role that this organization is ordinarily meant to be
playing.

“We have since learnt that people working for UNICEF have
in different countries and at different times usually lend
themselves and the name of the organization to be
deployed in undermining the countries on behalf of certain
international clients and client-nations. We however do not
want to conclude at this stage that UNICEF personnel behind
this latest attack on Nigeria do so without the knowledge of
the organization, for they would have been openly
sanctioned if this were the case.
Our sense of alarm was further heightened when we learnt
that this same group trickily rendered thousands of women
barren in Kenya using the lifesaving vaccination programme
to commit the crime. An organization that can exploit the
sanctity of vaccines to do evil cannot be trusted under any
condition and we do not even know what other damages
they have done to vulnerable people in our population that
they have worked with.

“The Coalition Against Terrorism and Extremism (CATE)
therefore demand an explanation over its role in the
escalated efforts to wrongly indict the Nigerian Military and
government for violating the Child Protection Act by cooking
up its Global Horizontal Notes (GHN) in a manner that will
deny the country of international support. We demand to
know why the atrocities committed by terrorists are being
attributed to government. They must come clean of the
nature of support they have been offering Boko Haram and
at whose behest.

“We warn in the strongest terms possible that CATE has the
wherewithal and network to mobilize the Nigerian civil
society to force UNICEF out of the north east if they fail to
offer plausible explanation. Our coalition will ensure this
happens except Nigerians can be convinced that UNICEF did
not commit the acts credited to it. The situation in the north
east is too fragile to have questionable people playing
international cowboys with our collective safety in Nigeria.
‘In view of the many instances of war entrepreneurs posing
as international NGOs, we call on the Federal Government to
set up monitoring committee to keep an eye on what groups
like UNICEF are doing in the country. This must be backed
with a periodic vetting of all NGOs in Nigeria and their
operations. The time when unmerited respect makes us
accept poison from international organizations is past and
there is no going back to such.”

TRUMP WARN BUHARI AGAINST KILLING OF CHRISTIANS

President of the United States of America (USA), Donald
Trump, has told President Muhammau Buhari that his
country will not accept the killing of Christians in Nigeria.
Trump made this clear while playing host to Buhari at the
White House on Monday.
“We have had very serious problems with Christians who are
being murdered in Nigeria, we are going to be working on
that problem very, very hard because we cannot allow that to
happen,” Trump said.
Buhari promised that his administration was working hard to
address the menace, especially in the North West of the
country.
He also thanked the US government for approving the sale
of military hardware to Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari visited the US for a bilateral meeting with President Donald Trump of the US. The president held a bilateral meeting with his American counterpart on Monday, April 30 before their press conference.

President Trump had commended President Buhari for the success recorded in the fight against corruption. He also said the US was ready to support Nigeria in the war against insurgency noting that the country just sold 12 Tucano fighter jets to Nigeria. President Buhari in his reaction applauded the US for the support provided and promised that Nigeria will not relent in the war on insurgency. He also vowed that his administration will work to make sure that the rest of the abducted Chibok and Dapchi girls will be rescued. Nigeria and the United States share a long history of close and cordial relations, which encompass political, economic, military, social and cultural cooperation. Our two countries maintain a strategic partnership for peace and security, conflict resolution as well as the global fight against terrorism. We also share common features as secular federal states, practicing a similar democratic model of governance and committed to the universal values of fundamental human rights and freedoms, free enterprise, social justice and the rule of law. President Trump and his team and myself and the Nigerian team discussed issues related to security, trade, governance, human rights and humanitarian crises. SECURITY We congratulated the leaders of North and South Korea on their historic summit and we applaud them for the positive commitment they have made towards the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. President Trump deserves a great deal of credit for his statesmanly role in transforming so dramatically the course of events in that region. We also congratulated the US government on the important role it played in the defeat of ISIS, although some of the remnants have found their way to the Sahel region. We recognized the strong US support in our fight against terrorism and also appreciated very much the US’ agreement to sell twelve Super Tucano A-29 war planes and weapons to Nigeria to effectively fight terrorism. To contain the spate of insurgency in Nigeria, the Federal government has adopted a multi-sectoral approach, involving relevant government agencies to address the socio-economic and political dimensions while the Armed Forces of Nigeria assist the civil authority to provide security and maintain law and order. As part of efforts to address emerging cases of insurgency in the country, the Nigerian Military adopted a non-kinetic counter terrorism/counter insurgency approach code-named “Operation safe corridor”, to de-radicalize, re-habilitate, and re-integrate willingly surrendered Boko-Haram members into the larger society. This programme is currently embarking on a number of projects including: skill acquisition centers and integrated farms; comprising poultry, fish pond and greenhouse farming, among others. A number of international partners, including the International Organization for Migration have contributed to the success of Operation Safe Corridor. We indicated that we would appreciate whatever support we could also get from the US. We expressed gratitude for US support in the reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts in the North East of Nigeria, as well as humanitarian assistance to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), through agencies such as the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and other international partners. The USA has been to date the biggest contributor to the humanitarian response and last year gave approximately 500 million US Dollars in cash and in-kind contributions through the United Nations and other inter-governmental organizations. The Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, has urged President
Muhammadu Buhari to seek foreign assistance from the
United States, US, and other foreign countries in tackling the
herdsmen menace in Nigeria.
The call was made by IYC President and Secretary, Eric
Omare and Henry Iyalah, respectively, in an open letter to
Buhari.
The council also warned of a likely breakdown of law and
order in the country ahead the 2019 general election if the
Federal Government failed to deal with the herdsmen
menace.

According to IYC, “We urge Mr. President to use your foreign
trips, including your trip to the United States, to seek support
to stop the menace of herdsmen’s persistent killings and
ensure free, fair and credible elections and not support to
win election for yourself.
“The interest of the generality of Nigerians should be
uppermost in your mind over and above your personal
ambition to win re-election as President, in the interest of
peace and security of our country, Nigeria. We also hope
that you will not tell President Donald Trump that Nigerian
youths are lazy.”
IYC also faulted the alleged manhandling of Kogi West
Senator, Dino Melaye by police officers.
The body said the alleged “Gestapo” treatment of Melaye
was seen as a “strategy to silence opposing voices in the
build up to the next general elections.

Recall that Melaye was alleged to have jumped off a police
van in Abuja while being transported to Kogi State to face
criminal charges.
Following the incident, the lawmaker sustained injuries and
is currently at the intensive care unit of the National Hospital
in Abuja.
However, IYC alleged condemned the alleged ill-treatment
meted at “political players” by security agencies.
The council added, “Mr. President, the IYC is concerned by
the rising political tension in Nigeria arising from the
treatment of some political players by the security agencies.
“It is highly condemnable that people who express opposing
views to your administration are being harassed and
maltreated.

“The hallmark of democracy is the right to hold an opinion
and where this right is absent, then democracy is dead.
“The treatment being given to political figures such as
Senator Dino Melaye and others is highly unacceptable and
condemnable.
“The insinuation in the public is that the Gestapo treatment
is part of your strategy to silence opposing voices in the
build up to the next general elections.”

over whether President Muhammadu Buhari would
be the first African leader to be hosted by US
President Donald Trump in the White House.
The debate stems from press coverage » of the visit and
official statements from the Nigerian presidency.
For instance, the Associated Press writes that: “After more
than a year in office, President Donald Trump for the first time
is hosting an African president at the White House. The meeting
with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday comes
after an uncomfortable start to the Trump administration’s
approach to the world’s second most populous continent”.
J. Peter Pham, Director of the Africa Center at the
Washington-based Atlantic Council, told AFP that: "On
President Trump's side, it's definitely putting that (shithole
remark) controversy behind him.

"On President Buhari's side, it's having the prominence of being
the first African leader received at the White House in this
administration."
Senior Special to Assistant to President Buhari on Media and
Publicity, Garba Shehu, issued a statement which contained
the following words:
“Buhari is the first African head of government to visit Trump’s
White House and this is a pointer to two important things. One
is, no matter how Nigerians take our own country, this is hugely
an important country and this recognition is being manifested
in this visit”.

While it makes for good bragging rights and hyperbolic
storytelling to couch Buhari’s ongoing visit to the White
House » as a first, the truth is that it isn’t.
On April 3, 2017, Trump received Egyptian President Abdel
Fattah el-Sisi at the White House. The visit was tailored to
“reboot” a US/Egypt bilateral relationship that had been
strained at times in the past.
As both leaders met inside the White House and shook hands,
Trump said Sisi has "done a fantastic job in a very difficult
situation. We are very much behind Egypt and the people of
Egypt. You have a great friend and ally in the United States, and
in me.”
President Buhari is the second African head of government to
be received at the White House by Trump. There, we just fixed

received” tale.

OBJ said this while speaking to CNM members at a town hall
meeting in Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo state on Saturday, April 28,
2018.

“My struggle for the good of Nigeria progress of Nigeria, the
unity of Nigeria, development of Nigeria will not diminish. Even
now, I get people from other parties, coming to me to seek
advice. I don’t belong to them. I don’t have anything to do with
them, but I give them advice. So, that situation will continue. I
will continue to look for the good of Nigeria wherever I am.
“Men of valour don’t run away from challenges and it is the
same thing with women of honour. Permanent voter’s cards
(PVCs) are your instruments. If you have not collected yours, go
and collect it. If you are not yet registered, go and register. They
are the keys to open the doors.
“The youths under 40 years old form more than 65 per cent of
our population. Now, who will tell you that because you are
under 40, you cannot play a very significant role in the affairs of
your country?

“I was Head of State when I was under 40. Now, France has
elected a president that is under 40 yrs. Botswana has just a
vice president at 32 years old. Now, what we are saying is that
the youths must be given a pride of place,” he said.
Also, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has said that
Obasanjo cannot stop his presidential ambition.

A Nigerian woman who got married to a man from
Saudi Arabia and gave birth to three beautiful
daughters has lost all the children within some few
minutes after her husband bloodily slaughtered them
one dawn.

Fatima Mohamid Khalil said her husband woke the children up
early and when she enquired, he claimed the children’s
grandfather was visiting and he needed the youngsters to be
present and welcome him.
The man then took the children to a different room.
She became worried and followed up after some few minutes
to ascertain what was going on » , and to her surprise, the
husband had already killed two of the children.
She said all attempts to restrain the man from murdering the
last one did not materialize. The man pushed her out and
accomplished his mission

The incident happened on Sunday in Al-Rawdah District,
Makkah.
Fatima who herself lost her two parents since infancy told the
Saudi Gazette that: “This was an unusual act, but when I asked
him why, he said that his father was coming to visit and that
his three daughters needed to say hello to their grandfather.”
She added: “I was shocked to see my middle daughter Rimaz
in his hands soaked in her blood after he had slaughtered her
with a knife. I tried to rescue her, but he pushed me away; I
fell down. When I got up, he had already slaughtered our
eldest and the youngest daughters.”
After the heartless act, Fatima said: “He went out as if nothing
had happened. I started crying and neighbours came, but it
was too late.”
The distressed mother also disclosed that the man had
earlier asked her to go stay with her grandmother for a while,
and she did.

She said the children were heard one day crying loudly and
“our neighbours heard their cries and informed the police, who
came and arrested him, but he was soon released on bail.
“He took me back to his apartment with our daughters the
night of the incident. This was just a few hours before he
committed his heinous crime.”
Reports say the man might be a drug addict, but it is
suspected that he must have committed the act out of
frustration.
Fatima said: “He did not pay the rent for three months and
was indebted to our grocer by more than SR800.”

POLICE TO CHARGE MOTHER FIR ALLEGEDLY ABUSING DAUGHTER WITH HOT IRON

The Lagos State Police Command said that it had
concluded investigation on a 39-year-old
mother, Ayo Sheriff, who allegedly abused her child
with a hot electric iron over N250.
The command’s spokesman, SP. Chike Oti , made this known
in a statement in Lagos on Sunday.

He said that the case was reported by Chosen Child
Orphanage located at Gastya Estate, Ijora-Badia on behalf of
the 16-year-old daughter.
Oti said that the upper and lower right limbs of the victim
were allegedly burnt by her biological mother with hot electric
pressing iron.
He said the Commissioner of Police in Lagos, CP Imohimi
Edgal, was miffed at the sight of the wounds inflicted on the
child by her mother.
“The Gender Section of the Command, headed by SP. Adejoke
Cole, has concluded investigation into the case and would
charge the suspect to Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on 30th April,
2018, ” he said.

Oti said that the daughter, a student of a secondary school
and also a part time student nurse in auxiliary capacity, was
given N500 by her boss.
He said that the victim was instructed to hand over N200 to
someone on her way home, use N50 as transport fare and
return the balance of N250 to her boss the next day.
“However, on the day she was supposed to return the balance
of the money to her boss, the victim defaulted. She told her
boss that the money was with her mother.
“The boss called her mother on the phone and she denied
knowledge of the money.

“When the victim returned home from work, her mother, who
was already waiting for her, plugged an electric iron and waited
until it was red hot.
“At this stage, she used the red hot iron to welcome her
daughter home, accusing her of being a disgrace to the family, ”
Oti said.
According to him, the commissioner has called on parents to
correct their children with love.
Oti decried the increasing rate of domestic violence, which he
said, was a source of concern to the command.

PROFESSOR WOLE SOYINKA TELLS FG TO DO MORE TO STOP ATTACK BY HERDSMEN

Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka has called on the
Federal Government to do more to end attacks and
killings by criminal herdsmen in parts of the country.
Soyinka made the call in a statement in Lagos on Sunday.
He said recurring cases of criminal herdsmen unleashing
terror on communities leaving in their trail tears and blood
required lasting interventions.

Soyinka acknowledged that a few armed herdsmen had been
apprehended by security agencies but said that was not
enough to put a stop to the mayhem by the criminals.
He said there were so many of the criminals hiding in the
forests which needed to be tracked down by security
agencies.

The Nobel Laureate expressed regrets that some communities
had been sacked by the criminals, causing residents to flee.
He said there was the need to order the invaders out or drive
them away and provide security for safe return of residents.
Soyinka calked for justice and restitution for victims of
herdsmen attacks, saying that would give them some succour.
“We must go beyond arresting a token of herdsmen caught with
arms—there are still hundreds of them in the forests.
“It is not enough to back the anti-open grazing law, so late in
the day, but we shall leave that for later.
“Right now, the violated and the dispossessed and with no
future delay or subterfuge.

“All available forces should be deployed to right the hideous,
unprecedented wrong that has left the nation drowning in blood
-we simply cannot continue one day longer to watch this
forceful feeding of human blood “,he said.
He also called on the agencies to track down and identify the
sponsors of the criminals in order to curb their activities.
Soyinka wished “those who laboured for humanity ” a Happy
May Day ,expressing the optimism that the solutions to the
security challenge would come in no distant time

enviable social media fame following his masculine

The boy’s father was reported to have said that his son

He said Ryusei “Ryuji” Imai then begun to watch Bruce Lee’s

Sambisa forest will eventually become a tourist
center where tourists from all walks of life can visit

as its hideout from where it orchestrates and executes » its
deadly attacks on the oil-rich West African country.
Due to Boko Haram’s association with the forest, people fear
it as much as the fear the terrorist group.

since 2009 have claimed victory over them and their
operations several times, but the group has never accepted
defeat.

ARMY NABS THREE SUSPECT LINKED TO BENUE KILLINGS

Three suspected herdsmen have been arrested and
paraded by the Nigerian Army yesterday, Friday,
April 28, 2018.
The suspects were reportedly arrested by the Nigerian troops
following intense gunfire exchange at Tormatar village in
Benue State.

The Commanding Officer of 72 Battalion, Lt. Col. Suleiman
Muhammad , revealed that the troops of the 707 Special
Forces Brigade in Makurdi, nabbed the trio while they were
planning further attacks on the state.
“Troops of the 707 Special Forces Brigade conducted a fighting
patrol on a suspected militia herdsmen camp located close to
Tormatar village on Thursday.
"The armed men were massing up for another possible attack
on innocent citizens in the local government area. On getting to
the militia camp, the herdsmen fired at our troops but the
troops immediately returned fire and dislodged them,” he said.
Muhammad gave the names of the suspects as; Abubakar
Umaru, Adamu Likita and Yusufa Alhaja.
According to the reports, one of the suspects was wounded
during the gun battle.

Two AK 47 rifles with six rounds of 7.62MM special
ammunition weapons were recovered from the suspects while

However, one of the suspects revealed to newsmen that they
had been grazing their cattle when they were handed guns by
their master and asked to run away with them after the
soldiers engaged them in a gun battle.
Nigerian Army arrest suspected mastermind of Benue attacks
The Nigerian Army said it has arrested a major Boko
Haram » suspect "believed to have masterminded most of the
recent attacks in Benue State."

Th suspect, Aminu Yaminu also known as Tashaku, was said
to have been arrested Friday, April 27, in Makurdi, by a
combined team of troops of 707 Special Forces Brigade,
Nigeria Police and the Department of State Services.
The army disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday by
the Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 707 Special
Forces Brigade in Makurdi, Olabisi Olalekan Ayeni .
"Following an intelligence report, it was gathered that Aminu
has concluded plans with his cohorts in Bauchi, Borno, Yobe
and Nasarawa states to launch a major attack on innocent
citizens in Benue State," Ayeni said.
He said the Nigerian Army is working tirelessly to clamp down
on the criminals wreaking havoc in Benue.
"As earlier reinstated, Nigerian Army will ensure enemies of
peace in the state are brought to justice. Nigerian Army
encourages all law-abiding citizens to go about their lawful
businesses without fear," he added.

The army also urged Nigerians to provide it and other security
agencies with timely information that could lead to the arrest
of criminals in the society.
Benue has been under attack since January 2018 when
suspected herdsmen massacred 73 persons.
The people of the state have been living in fear as the
herdsmen practically launch fatal attacks every week.
On Tuesday, April 24, gunmen attacked a Catholic church in
Gwer East Local Government Area of the state, killing two
priests and 17 worshippers.
Hours after, a community in Guma LGA was also attacked and
13 persons were killed.

MOTHER FILM HER 3 YEAR OLD BOY HAVING SEX

Nigeria’s Ministry of Women’s Affairs in conjunction
with the police have taken three-year-old twins boys
from their mother’s custody after she filmed them
having sex and sent the video to her husband.
A report by The Nation indicated that Patience Isua said she
filmed the abominable act of her twin boys to show to her
husband as proof of her claim that the boys behaved
strangely » anytime they paid him a visit and returned to her.
She was reported to have suspected the girlfriend of the
children’s father with whom he has been co-habiting after he
left her last year of being the one polluting the children.
On Tuesday officials of the Ministry of Women Affairs
accompanied by the police stormed Patience Isua’s home in
Olugbemiga Ladipo, Ado in Ajah, Lagos and took the children
away.
When queried, the woman admitted to the offence, saying:
“Yes, I took the video myself. He was not around when I sent it
to him. My children stay with me and they stay with him as
well. He comes to pick the children to wherever he is staying.

“We have been living apart since last year that he took me to a
human rights organisation. It was agreed that he should have
12 hours with the kids at weekends but he did not stick to the
agreement. Sometimes, he took them with him for many days
and when they came back, they usually exhibited strange
behaviours.
“I am aware that he lives with an older woman. So, he takes
them there and whenever they are there, I get worried because I
do not know what my children are going through in the hands
of the woman.
“Somebody trained my boys to practice such devilish act. This
is an abuse. I do not know who trained them to be like this.
Before I saw them and videoed it, I had told their father that
whenever they came back from his house they usually
complained of pain.
“There were signs before it got to this stage. I don’t know where
he takes them to and what they are fed. Most times they come
back stooling blood or complaining of pains in their anus. I
called his attention to it but he didn’t listen. This is what has
been killing me silently.

“There was a day they went to school from his house and their
auntie (teacher) called me to complain that my children were
stooling blood. I told her to report to their father because they
came to school from his house. Then I called him the following
day to ask if their auntie complained to him and he said ‘yes’.
When I asked what they ate, he hung up.
“Another time, one of my sons while pooing, said his anus was
paining him. I took him out of the toilet and I saw fresh
wounds. Again I called to find out where he usually took the
kids, because I did not understand what was happening.
“I told him his children would come back from where he takes
them to and they would sit on the chair and start saying
mummy, daddy kiss.

“So, when I saw them that day, I had to video and send to him
so that he would see the damage he was causing to our kids.
He now turned the whole thing around and wants to blame me,
whereas, I told him to stop taking my kids where he usually
took them.
“I know they picked up the habit where he usually took them to,
because in my house, they do not have access to television and
they do not go out. I only take them to school and church. I live
with my sister, who goes to work and comes back late. So, it is
certainly not in my house that they saw such devilish act.”
“I also trained them. I told my kids to shout and tell their daddy
should anyone try to touch their private parts. I told them to
scream ‘Satan!’”
Meanwhile, the children’s father simply identified » as Ikanta
denied his wife’s claims.
He said: “I was really surprised when she sent me that video. I
never imagined such a thing would happen. So, you took your
time to video this without you shouting at them to stop and you
said you wanted to send it to me?” he queried.
Before taking the children away, Police Commissioner Imohimi
Edgal who was part of the team that visited the house told
both Patience Isua and her alienated husband that: “This is a
very serious act and as a mother you see your children and your
response was to video it? Now apart from you videoing this
what other actions did you take? Who did you report to?
“It is not only the police that are concerned. You can see we
have a Child Protection Unit from the Ministry of Youth and
Social Development.
»

“People are concerned. You would agree with me that these
children are supposed to be under strict parental care and
guidance. From this video, you will agree that it doesn’t show
good example of parental care.
“Having discussed it with experts and also officials from the
Ministry of Youth and Social Development, we are of the opinion
that there is need to find out more as to what is going on
regarding the welfare of the children. As such, we are also of
the opinion that we cannot entrust these children to your care
for now, until we understand exactly what is going on.
“We would entrust the children to the ministry. That is why they
are here. They have shelters that are approved by the
government and these shelters are purposely built for purposes
such as this to ensure that children are protected by the state
when the need arises.

“There is going to be a joint investigation between the police
gender unit and the ministry. We want to be sure that nobody is
abusing these children. We want to know where they picked up
this kind of elaborate homosexual act.
“Anyone who sees this would be worried especially because of
the tenderness of the children. They are too young.
“We cannot entrust them to any of you. We intend to take this
matter to a law court to determine the suitability of both of you
for parenthood.”

A Ghanaian woman is seriously in distress over her
inability to live with any man to whom she can be
married and committed, because any man who has
sex with her and subsequently sleeps with another
woman dies mysteriously.

It may be recalled that early this year, the said unnamed lady
shared her predicament with a relationship expert, David Papa
Bondze-Mbir and it sent shivers down the spines of many
people especially men who take delight in sleeping with any
woman they come across.
For an unknown reason the lady’s story has resurfaced online
and causing frenzy among social media users.
What is striking and intimidating in the lady’s story is the fact
that she threatened to start going round the various regions of
Ghana and begin to have sex with any man who appears
pleasing to her » , if no man is willing to stay with her alone
without having anything to do with any other woman. »

Her reason is that she is sexually active and needs
satisfaction.

“Dave,
“I will be 38 years in July, 2017. And, I have been married, Three
(3) times. I have Two (2) kids, with two different late husbands,
whom I dearly loved.
“This is my story: when I was 18 years, I dated this gentleman,
who was then, a Third-year, University Student, at Legon. I was
in my final year at Senior Secondary School (SSS). He was my
first love, and we had dated for just Five (5) months. We had so
many dreams together – for our future.
He mysteriously died.

“I dated a married man, at age, 20, for just, Four (4) weeks. The
first time we had sex at a hotel, he died in his home, the very
next day.
“I didn’t date for a while, due to fear – until a friend at Church,
proposed to me, four years later. I was 25 years old, when I first
got married. Two (2) years into our marriage, he died one
dawn, after making love to me. We had no kids.
“I moved to Canada, to further my education. I met this Nigerian
Army guy, who showed interest in me. He married me, when I
was 30 years old. He died when I was, Seven (7) months
pregnant, with our first child »

“When I was 34, my third husband, a White Canadian Man, also
married me. We had an argument one day, when I was Three
months pregnant with our daughter. He was getting involved
with his Ex wife, and apparently, they had had sex. He
confessed to me, about sleeping with his Ex, and was asking for
my forgiveness.

“Dave, I loved my husband very much, so I willingly forgave him
that afternoon, and made passionate love to him, that very
moment. He died in his sleep that afternoon.
“Since relocating to Ghana, two years ago, I decided never to
date or marry again, however, I was getting horny a few times,
so I hooked up with a colleague at work, for just a one night
‘something’. He died in the house of his girlfriend, a day after
sleeping with me.

“As I write this letter to you, I am in Takoradi. I had to move
from Accra, to a different City. I couldn’t stand the horror of my
life. I met a guy at a night club, three weeks ago, whom I had a
‘fling’ with, at a hotel. I never saw or heard from him again,
until yesterday, when I saw his obituary poster, pasted on the
main gate, of the night club. He died, three weeks ago.
“Any man I sleep with, who just happens to sleep with another
woman, dies after having sex with me.

“I am relocating to Accra, again, to finally settle. I may not
marry or date anyone, until my death. However, I might need
sex, every now and then. I want to know if there is any man,
amongst your friends, who wouldn’t mind wanting to be
intimate with only me, without any commitments?
“I just got a new job in Accra, so he wouldn’t have to worry
about spending on me. I will take care of myself and the kids.
He just shouldn’t have a girlfriend or a wife. He shouldn’t be a
player. I don’t want to be responsible for the death of another
man. All I need is one faithful man, who wouldn’t mind giving
me pleasure.

“Else, I might have to travel to each Region, anytime I desire for
sex, and hook up with any fine man I find attractive. I am
currently chatting and texting with one Ghanaian
parliamentarian, whom I suspect, is interested in me. He is a
married man, and it was because of his connections that got
me a job, and a place to stay in Takoradi. He is a good man, a
fine lawyer. I want to give in to his demands, but I fear for the
unknown. He’s gotten me so many job opportunities with
numerous MPs.

“I am not a prostitute, I am just a human being, who also has
genuine needs. Had it not been for my unfortunate history, I
would have been happily committed to just one man.
“I’ve been to Churches and Prayer Cathedrals, to be prayed for,
yet, men still die after having sex with me, and, it scares me
